These qualities were instilled in Jerry Neeser and his brothers at the very start by their father. All of the Neeser boys were born with the need to build things; carpentry was in their blood. Louis Neeser taught the carpentry trade to his young sons in the early ´60s, and together they built schools, churches, and commercial buildings throughout Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Louis also instructed his sons to be individuals, to figure things out on their own, and to apply a “can-do” attitude in every situation, no matter how difficult. In 1969, Jerry moved to California to start his own company and spent the next five years building high-rise structures and subterranean parking garages in all three west coast states. Although his 200-employee business was flourishing in 1974, Jerry decided to move his family away from big-city hassles into the quieter life that Anchorage, Alaska had to offer. Today, Jerry Neeser employs many of the same individuals who started out with him, and he only hires people who illustrate the highest integrity in their work. Everyone at Neeser—project managers, estimators, accountants, architects and carpenters—works to make Neeser Construction the company that commits and delivers.
