Anchorage Jail

NCI was the low bidder on a 185,000 sq. ft., 400 bed jail project. However, the low bid was five million dollars over the Municipality’s budget. NCI negotiated with the Municipality and re-engineered the structure from steel frame to poured-in-place concrete. This re-design, along with other considerations, slashed three million dollars from the original cost. This was enough to salvage the project and bring it within the Municipality’s ability to fund the project.
