UAA Parking Garage

The UAA Parking Garage was a hard bid competition. Due to design problems, the project was two months behind schedule; to bring it back on track the owner requested we accelerate construction instead of extending the completion time. This acceleration was accomplished before the winter weather set in and the project was completed as originally scheduled. It is an open parking garage with post tension slab construction for the University of Alaska in Anchorage. It consists of approximately 125,000 sq. ft. with 297 parking spaces. The project also included an overhead steel pedestrian bridge connecting the garage to the University library and science building.
